All we have is the Lord’s. We give as an act of worship and obedience, for our good and the growth of the kingdom in our neighborhood! There are three ways to give:

WHAT’S HAPPENING

  • Tuesday’s @ 6:30pm: Happy Hour Bible Study - Join us as we study God’s word together at the Frappe House (2777 E. Nees) from 6:30-8:00pm. Text Calida at 559.908.0645 for questions or details.

  • WSM Youth Wednesdays @ 6:00pm: For 6th-12th grade students, we are partnering with The Well’s Student Ministry (WSM) gathering on Wednesday nights from 6-8:15pm. Dinner is at 6pm, with games, worship, Bible teaching, and small group sharing to follow starting at 6:30pm. Want a ride? Meet at the White’s home at 5:30pm. Otherwise, we’ll see you there! - 4545 N. Palm Ave.

  • Friday, April 3rd: Stations of the Cross on Huntington Blvd & 3rd St. Reflect on Jesus’ journey to the cross with this self-guided, go-at-your-own-pace walk. All are welcome! Want to volunteer at the event? Sign up here.

  • Sunday, April 5th: EASTER CELEBRATION @ the Mason’s (3327 E. Huntington Blvd)

    • 9:45-10:45am - Prayer walking the neighborhood. Meet @ the Mason’s.

    • 11am - Worship Service + Potluck (bring a side dish to share for 6-8 people!)

  • Wednesday, April 8th: Worship & Prayer Night @ the Mason’s (3327 E. Huntington Blvd). Join us from 6:30-7:30pm as we worship Jesus and pray for one another and our neighborhood.

  • Thursday, April 16th: LOVE IT LOCAL Jackson Neighborhood Association Meeting Join Jackson neighbors from 6:30-7:30pm in the Jackson Elementary Cafeteria to hear updates about what’s happening in the neighborhood and what we can do to make our neighborhood better.

  • Tuesday, April 21st: Ladies Together Tuesday (6:30-8:30pm) More details to come!

  • Sunday, April 26th: Family Sunday Potluck Join us at 5:15pm at the White’s for a joint AM/PM potluck as we enjoy delicious food, fellowship, and celebrate February birthdays. Please bring a dish to share for 6-8 people. Last name A-M = fruit; N-Z = salad/veggie. The mains & dessert have been taken care of.

Praying a Psalm

Choral Reading Psalm 118:19-29

Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the Lord.

This is the gate of the Lord; the righteous shall enter through it.

—Quietly consider: What areas of my life might I be resisting entering God’s plans for me and what would it look like to enter them with gratitude?

I thank you that you have answered me and have become my salvation. The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.

—Quietly consider: Are there areas where my actions do not align with God’s standard of righteousness?

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Save us, we pray, O Lord! O Lord, we pray, give us success!

—Quietly consider: Have I been attentive in giving thanks for the ways God has already answered and saved me?

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! We bless you from the house of the Lord.

The Lord is God, and he has made his light to shine upon us.

—Quietly consider: Am I overlooking or rejecting what God is using for me because it does not meet my expectations?

Bind the festal sacrifice with cords, up to the horns of the altar!

You are my God, and I will give thanks to you; you are my God; I will extol you.

—Quietly consider: Where do I need to pause and acknowledge God’s work as marvelous, even if I do not fully understand it?

Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;

for his steadfast love endures forever!

—Get in groups of three, in a couple of words share what you need from God and pray together, asking God to hear and meet the needs for each person in your group that they quietly considered.
